Safety Director (Mission Critical)

Location: Remote within the United States; preference for candidates based in Atlanta or Chicago. The role requires up to 50% weekday travel to various job locations.

What you will do

• Coordinate the development and implementation of corporate safety policies, rules, procedures, and protection programs.
• Advise corporate management and field supervision on construction safety and regulatory compliance.
• Manage safety professionals and oversee the design and continual improvement of safety and health programs.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
• Develop and deliver safety training courses and manage the company training curriculum.
• Manage company claims functions and travel to job locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or risk management.
• At least 10 years of construction safety experience.
• Ability to work independently and productively with others.
• Position requires verification of eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Solid understanding of OSHA requirements for the construction industry.
• Working knowledge of third-party contractor management databases such as ISNet and Avetta.
• Mission-critical or data center construction safety experience.
