Location: Remote within the United States; the role services the East Coast Time Zone and requires up to approximately 10% travel for field visits, vendor oversight, permit meetings, and escalations.
Salary: $117,000–$180,000 USD annually, with potential eligibility for an annual incentive plan.

What you will do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of 5–8 simultaneous long-haul OSP deployment projects executed by 1–2 turnkey engineering and construction contractors.
- Manage contractor performance, contracts, milestones, budgets, production rates, safety, quality, invoices, and change orders.
- Validate greenfield route scope, fiber counts, structure types, constructability, feasibility, risks, costs, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Oversee engineering packages, permitting applications, traffic control plans, environmental and regulatory filings, materials, and field distribution.
- Provide program and executive reporting, customer updates, risk mitigation plans, and complete as-built packages for GIS, network operations, and inventory teams.
- Lead and mentor project managers while improving vendor management, project controls, and long-haul delivery practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of people leadership, complex multiphase telecommunications project management, and OSP construction management experience.
- Extensive experience with turnkey/EPC contractors, long-haul fiber builds, greenfield construction, multimillion-dollar deployment programs, and construction contract administration.
- Experience with NTIA or similar federal requirements, including Davis-Bacon, BABA, environmental assessments, NEPA, Section 106, Tribal engagement, and right-of-way negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of OSP construction standards, fiber specifications, long-haul design, optical network concepts, fiber testing, GIS tools, financial controls, and risk mitigation.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience with EXFO FastReporter, Sitetracker, Salesforce, or similar tools.
- Business, finance, or project management coursework or degree.
