Localization Linguist - Brazilian Portuguese

Location: Remote in Brazil. Permanent legal authorization to work in Brazil for any employer is required; visa transfer or sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Translate and localize software UI, online help, product documentation, and related content into Brazilian Portuguese using CAT tools and in-house technologies.
• Perform linguistic reviews, quality assurance, validation, and linguistic testing of localized applications.
• Review and post-edit AI-assisted and Neural Machine Translation output for accuracy, consistency, and natural user experience.
• Create and maintain terminology databases, translation memories, style guides, and other language assets.
• Collaborate with global localization teams, technology partners, and stakeholders to resolve linguistic and terminology issues during product releases.
• Manage assigned workloads and meet project milestones and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Professional experience in translation, localization, or language services focused on Brazilian Portuguese.
• Experience translating or localizing software applications, technical content, online help, or product documentation.
• Experience with CAT tools, machine translation, localization quality assurance, linguistic testing, terminology management, and translation memories.
• Native or near-native Brazilian Portuguese and full proficiency in English required.
• Familiarity with IT environments, computer operating systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in Brazil without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future.

• Experience with enterprise software, ERP products, or technology solutions.
• Experience in global, geographically distributed localization organizations.
• Experience with AI, automation, or process improvement in translation workflows.
• Knowledge of terminology governance, style guide development, and language quality programs.
• Translation accreditation or relevant professional certification.
