Software Engineer for Aircraft Simulator (C++)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; availability to travel for approximately one week every two months.

What you will do

• Develop simulation software for the SAETA 2 Embedded Training Solution.
• Support the development and operation of SAETA 2 simulators.
• Design, develop, and deploy Ground Based Training System devices, including Virtual Reality Training Devices.
• Define and document software requirements and contribute to architectural and detailed design.
• Implement efficient, maintainable modern C++ code for real-time or near-real-time systems.
• Integrate software into large-scale simulators and avionics hardware-in-the-loop environments.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer, Aeronautical, or Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 6–7 years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise in C++, including memory management, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, testing frameworks, automated testing, and V-Model development.
• Experience with regulated software development processes such as AQAP or DO-178C and with complex simulation or embedded avionics integration.
• Advanced English and availability to travel approximately one week every two months.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux, Docker, Conan, and Makefiles.
