Journeyman Pipefitter (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Detroit, Michigan, United States. Applicants must be able to work in or relocate to Detroit; relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $37.64 per hour, plus shift premiums for second and third shifts.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, rebuild, repair, and label plumbing and mechanical piping systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Maintain pumps, valves, air cylinders, air starters, vacuum pumps, exhaust systems, and related fittings.
• Install and repair pneumatic, steam, condensate, natural gas, water, hydronic, drainage, liquid nitrogen, sewage, and waste piping systems.
• Maintain fire suppression and sprinkler systems, coolant systems, and backflow prevention devices as licensing permits.
• Perform facility system inspection routes, including sumps, interceptors, pumps, clarifiers, diversion manholes, and maintenance logs.
• Transport trade-specific materials and collaborate with production teams, engineering, service technicians, and management.

Requirements

• GED or high school diploma.
• Certified journeyperson card or documentation of eight years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, along with strong Microsoft Office and Prism software skills.
• Ability to work any assigned shift and participate in cross-functional training.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required at the time of application; visa sponsorship and applications from existing visa holders are not accepted.
