Sr Accounting Analyst

What you will do

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close cycles.
• Prepare accounting entries, account reconciliations, reclasses, accruals, financial statements, regulatory reports, and tax filings.
• Perform joint venture billing, nuclear accounting and business support, audit support, inter-company settlements, and property valuations.
• Analyze complex financial data, identify adverse trends, and recommend solutions to reduce financial impact.
• Support system upgrades, rate cases, financial analysis, ad hoc reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
• Consult with clients, management, and coworkers on accounting, reporting, account codes, and system-related matters; provide work direction and training when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least four years of general financial accounting and reporting experience, including complex accounting issues, processes, and multiple-company accounting.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply GAAP.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of business and legal principles, along with analytical and communication skills.
• Coordination with outsourced team members as required.

Nice to have

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience working with SAP.
