What you will do
- Own the overall architecture and technical strategy for low-latency, resilient distributed systems coordinating millions of connected smart devices in real time.
- Set technical standards and best practices across engineering domains while partnering with senior and staff engineers.
- Align long-term technical roadmaps with product leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, prototype new concepts, and guide strategic technology-stack decisions.
- Diagnose architectural bottlenecks across energy trading, IoT, and user-facing platforms while improving reliability, security, and developer efficiency.
- Mentor senior engineering talent and define how engineering teams adopt AI agents and AI-driven ways of working.
Requirements
- Experience as a Principal, Staff, or Chief Engineer designing and operating mission-critical distributed systems at scale.
- Deep expertise in modern cloud architectures, event-driven microservices, high-throughput IoT streaming pipelines, or energy technology infrastructure.
- Strong technical leadership and communication skills, including cross-functional alignment on high-stakes architecture decisions.
- Ability to combine long-term technical vision with a hands-on approach, including coding and debugging complex incidents.
- Interest in green technology, sustainable energy transition, and environmentally impactful products.
