Senior Solution Architect (E-Mobility) (Java/Spring Boot/AWS/Kubernetes): Architecting and evolving a large-scale SaaS platform for electric vehicle charging infrastructure with an accent on distributed systems, cloud-native microservices, scalability, security, and resilience. Focus on leading cross-team architecture initiatives, designing APIs and integrations, modernizing the platform, and solving complex technical challenges across engineering and DevOps.
Location: Dortmund, Germany; flexible working hours and location

What you will do
- Own solution and system architecture for cross-team platform initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, including APIs, domain models, system interfaces, and integrations.
- Design architectures for Java/Spring Boot microservices and Angular applications with strong scalability, resilience, security, performance, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
- Define cloud infrastructure requirements with DevOps and promote AWS and Kubernetes best practices.
- Lead platform modernization, migrations, third-party integrations, technology evaluations, and proofs of concept.
- Guide engineering teams through architecture reviews, mentor engineers and architects, and support enterprise customer solution and migration concepts.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in Java Enterprise/Spring environments.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Software or Solution Architect designing distributed, cloud-native systems.
- Extensive experience with cloud-native architecture, AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, APIs, and SaaS quality principles.
- Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives and working in agile development environments.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

- Basic German skills.
- Experience with SAFe.
- Experience in the EV charging industry.
- Relevant architecture certifications.
