Solution Architect (Digital Health)

TL;DR

Solution Architect (Digital Health): Designing secure, resilient application and integration architectures for long-term, business-critical Danish healthcare solutions with an accent on distributed systems, APIs, identity management, and technical alignment. Focus on documenting architectural decisions, reducing technical debt, and coordinating coherent implementation across development teams and suppliers.

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark; onsite work at the customer location is required when needed, with occasional flexibility to work from hirify.global offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, or Vilnius.

What you will do

• Translate business and technical requirements into robust solution architectures.
• Design application and integration architectures across applications, integrations, data, and platforms.
• Define architectural principles, technical guidelines, and documented architectural decisions using approaches such as C4 models and ADRs.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, modernization opportunities, and technical debt reduction initiatives.
• Ensure security and compliance considerations are reflected in solution designs.
• Create technical alignment across developers, architects, teams, and multiple suppliers.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect, or highly experienced software developer with substantial architectural responsibility.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, integration architecture, distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, application security, and secure solution design.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical decisions and communicate complex architecture clearly to different audiences.
• Experience working closely with engineering teams and creating alignment across organizational boundaries.
• Professional fluency in Danish, spoken and written, and ability to work onsite at the customer location in Copenhagen when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in digital healthcare, the public sector, or other highly regulated and business-critical environments.
• Experience working in multi-supplier environments.
• Experience with Java, REST, SOAP, Kafka, RabbitMQ, microservices, Domain-Driven Design, OAuth2/OIDC, OIOSAML, Infrastructure as Code, and containerized platforms.
