Technical Lead (Cloud Software)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; hybrid attendance in the office or on client site for a minimum of two days per week, with assignments potentially requiring up to five days per week on a client site

What you will do

• Shape and improve the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle across development, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Steer technical teams through complex engineering challenges and support clients with digital transformation.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and efficient release management strategies.
• Improve application scalability and response times through load testing, caching, database optimization, and application tuning.
• Work with product, design, engineering, clients, and other stakeholders using agile practices.
• Mentor engineers and promote continuous improvement through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Proven experience shaping the complete software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and release management.
• Strong understanding of load testing, caching, database query optimization, and application performance.
• Expertise in TDD, contract testing, secure coding, event-driven architecture, and platform migration.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model in Manchester and on client sites as required.
