What you will do
- Develop, execute, commission, and maintain industrial control system projects and existing equipment.
- Design automation control systems and develop PLC/HMI programs.
- Troubleshoot equipment controls and automation issues, implementing improvements for reliable operation.
- Guide equipment suppliers and installation contractors on capital project control systems.
- Analyze customer needs, create functional and system design specifications, and prepare statements of work, status reports, and budgets.
- Test and validate systems, train users, and mentor project team members and facility engineering resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience programming industrial controls, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols.
- At least 3 years of experience programming PLCs, HMIs, and drives with Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View.
- Knowledge of industrial automation in 24/7 shop-floor environments and the ability to work safely in electrical cabinets.
- Ability to troubleshoot automation equipment hands-on and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Fanuc robot troubleshooting and support experience.
- Experience with GE Proficy Suite, Machine Edition, and Historian.
- Experience with automation equipment in high-uptime environments and Ethernet/IP configuration troubleshooting.
- Experience managing technical projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, commissioning, and closure.
