Location: Onsite; the selected candidate must report to a specific location full-time. Ability to work all shifts and support weekend activities is required. The role may be eligible for relocation benefits.

What you will do
- Provide controls engineering and electrical support for automated manufacturing operations.
- Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, HMI, drive, robot, vision, and automation programs.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Maintain industrial communication networks, manufacturing execution systems, traceability solutions, and plant-floor software integrations.
- Support equipment installations, model year changes, production launches, startups, and controls projects from concept through implementation.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, skilled trades, suppliers, contractors, engineering teams, and plant leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechatronics engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience with automated production systems, controls, robotics, or industrial automation.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC-based systems, particularly Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms, and supporting Allen-Bradley PowerFlex VFDs.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
- Experience with Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, HMI systems, machine vision, and manufacturing error-proofing solutions.

Nice to have
- Experience with FANUC robots, Cognex or Matrox vision systems, and automated material handling.
- Experience with AutoCAD, EPLAN, GM plant-floor systems, Octoplant, MES integration, or manufacturing data collection.
- Prior automotive manufacturing experience.
