Controls Engineer (E) (Robotics)

Location: Monroe, Wisconsin, USA; willingness to travel up to 25% is required.

What you will do

• Develop and program robot, PLC, servo, and HMI controls software for robotic packaging automation machinery.
• Prepare control software using existing libraries and modify software for existing machines.
• Interpret technical specifications and application parameters.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to deliver automation projects.
• Support installation, start-up, and commissioning of new automation equipment.
• Partner with sales, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Two-year Applied Science degree focused on electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, industrial automation, or robotic programming, or more than two years of related full-time work experience.
• PLC programming, HMI development, and troubleshooting skills, including Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• FANUC robot programming and a general understanding of automation technologies, including SCADA, gantry systems, six-axis robotics, and high-speed assembly machinery.
• Understanding of engineering theories and principles, with strong problem identification, analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, provide customer service, and maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD and blueprint reading.
