Construction Project Manager (Mission Critical)

Location: Chicago, United States; traveling to project sites as needed

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, with potential additional commission and/or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Administer assigned construction projects, including schedules, cost projections, contracts, budgets, and status reports.
• Manage project team members, subcontractors, and professional groups involved in delivery.
• Support preconstruction through bid procedures, bid reviews, vendor and subcontractor qualification, estimating, and scheduling.
• Manage quality assurance, quality control, and project commissioning processes.
• Lead construction progress meetings, oversee design development, and support contract negotiations and budget decisions.
• Build and maintain project owner relationships and travel to project sites as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management/science, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in commercial construction.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project, estimating techniques, cost control, material pricing, and project management tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with superintendents, subcontractors, and owner/client representatives.
• Employment verification to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Mission-critical data center construction experience.
• Knowledge of complex mission-critical MEP systems.
• Experience with early turnover dates, mission-critical commissioning, and Methods of Procedures processes.
• Experience with Procore, P6, and other construction management tools.
• Estimating, preconstruction, and field experience, including light industrial, office/warehouse, retail, or strip mall projects.
