Software Engineer (SRE/DevOps)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States; hybrid working environment with in-office and in-person expectations

Salary: USD 170,000–253,000 per year, depending on location, qualifications, experience, and education

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers while managing SRE priorities, projects, and workflow.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
• Develop monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and mitigation.
• Handle incidents, reduce time to mitigate and recover, and lead post-mortem analyses.
• Deliver architectural initiatives that improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and company policies.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in software development, platform engineering, DevOps, or similar roles, including at least 5 years in a lead or architect position.
• Experience across backend engineering, site reliability engineering, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
• Extensive experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and configuration management using Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Experience with distributed systems, observability, SLOs, SLIs, and scalable high-availability architectures.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
