Construction Project Manager - Mission Critical (Traveling)

Location: Chicago, United States; travel required for projects

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, with potential additional commission and/or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Administer assigned commercial construction projects under supervision, including schedules, cost projections, contracts, budgets, and status reports.
• Manage project team members, subcontractors, and relationships with project owners and professional groups.
• Support preconstruction through bid procedures, bid reviews, vendor and subcontractor qualification, estimating, and scheduling.
• Manage quality assurance and quality control programs and required commissioning processes.
• Evaluate construction risks, negotiate contracts, make budget decisions, and lead construction progress meetings.
• Oversee design development and travel as needed for project assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Science, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 4 years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry.
• Verification of employment eligibility to work in the United States is required.
• Proactive and effective communication, customer focus, professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

Nice to have

• Mission-critical data center project experience.
• Knowledge of complex mission-critical MEP systems.
• Experience with early turnover dates, mission-critical commissioning, and Methods of Procedures processes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Procore, P6, and other project management tools.
