Location: 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215; 100% onsite

Salary: $45,500–$54,400 per year

What you will do

  • Schedule complex oncology appointments across disciplines and monitor scheduling reports for accuracy and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate patient check-in and check-out, telephone triage, patient identification, paperwork, verbal orders, and complex schedules.
  • Communicate with patients, families, providers, leadership, and cross-functional teams while explaining complex information in patient-friendly terms.
  • Provide customer service, respond to patient and provider requests, and de-escalate grievances when necessary.
  • Recognize emergencies and respond according to standard operating procedures.
  • Complete registration processes, support quality improvement initiatives, and maintain clinic technology including Epic, RTLS, Outlook, and patient-use iPads.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with technology and complex computer systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing conditions, take on additional responsibilities, and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and institutional policies.
  • Patient contact is required in person, by telephone, written letter, or email.
