TL;DR
Senior Director, Enterprise Technical Training (Nuclear and Technical Workforce Development): Leading enterprise technical training strategy and workforce capability programs across nuclear and non-nuclear operations with an accent on regulatory compliance, governance, and instructional excellence. Focus on building long-range capability roadmaps, managing complex training organizations and budgets, and linking training effectiveness to workforce readiness, safety, and operational performance.

Location: Minneapolis, MN; hybrid work with three days per week in the downtown Minneapolis office

Salary: $170,700–$242,366 per year

What you will do

  • Set the enterprise technical training strategy and long-range workforce capability roadmap.
  • Establish governance, consistent standards, and instructional quality across nuclear and non-nuclear programs.
  • Ensure training programs support NRC requirements, nuclear accreditation standards, operating licenses, and quality assurance plans.
  • Represent the organization in industry benchmarking and external engagements with INPO, WANO, and NRC.
  • Define KPIs connecting training effectiveness with workforce readiness, safety, and operational performance.
  • Manage training budgets, resource allocation, staffing strategies, and partnerships with senior business leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of nuclear or technical operations experience with significant training or workforce development leadership.
  • Experience leading large, complex training organizations and enterprise initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training and regulatory frameworks including NRC, NANT, and 10 CFR 50/55.
  • Experience with strategic planning, financial management, and performance analytics.
  • Ability to work in the Minneapolis area and onsite three days per week is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in utilities, industrial, or other highly technical industries.
  • Experience leading accreditation processes and regulatory evaluations.
  • Background in enterprise learning governance, instructional technology, or simulation programs.
  • Experience leading teams across dispersed geographies.
