Building Operations Technician (HVAC)

Location: Oklahoma City, OK; the position can be based at any US location and requires travel to various job sites.

What you will do

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment for new data center cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, schematics, and related materials to determine required tasks, tools, equipment, and parts.
• Coordinate challenging service jobs with building owners, general and mechanical contractors, engineers, and local service contractors.
• Consult engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance problems.
• Provide professional service to internal and external customers and advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC or similar electromechanical experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel to job sites and participate in an on-call service rotation.
• Strong analytical, attention-to-detail, blueprint-reading, and manual-interpretation skills.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, work independently, coordinate with outside technicians, and follow up on parts delivery.
• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to completing work correctly and on time.

Nice to have

• Trade or technical school education or certification.
• Experience with industrial HVAC or similar electromechanical products.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Intermediate experience with commercial projects.
• Building automation experience.
