Assembly Lead - 2nd Shift

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA; on-site, Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. Overtime may extend the shift to 1:00 a.m. every other Saturday as needed.

Starting pay: $28.85/hour, consisting of $24.85/hour base pay, a $2.50/hour second-shift premium, and a $1.50/hour lead premium.

What you will do

• Perform complex product assembly using work instructions, drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment, and advanced hand tools.
• Validate materials, build products within defined tolerances and quality standards, and complete housekeeping and safety procedures.
• Lead team meetings, exchange job-related information, and solve production problems within the designated authority level.
• Train employees on work instructions and standard work across multiple assembly areas.
• Use the ERP system to retrieve information and complete required transactions.
• Identify problems, implement countermeasures, and contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of complex assembly or related experience.
• Ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret basic visual diagrams, execute advanced standard assembly procedures, use advanced hand tools, and perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.
• Intermediate computer knowledge, including electronic work instructions and ERP transactions.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures, communicate effectively in a team environment, and perform more complex assembly skills.
• Ability to stand and walk regularly and occasionally lift 25–50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or mechanical experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system such as Oracle, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience with root-cause problem solving methods such as 5 Why, 8D, or PDCA.
• Experience training employees on work instructions and standard work.
