Assembly Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: Brighton, Colorado, United States; on-site

What you will do

• Lead, train, coach, and provide backfill support for the assembly crew while managing staffing coverage.
• Oversee material handling, structural and mechanical equipment installation, seam caulking, and unit preparation for shipment.
• Review work orders and verify the availability and accuracy of hardware, components, and in-house parts.
• Ensure correct product logos, labeling, NEMA ratings, and UL information on finished products.
• Coordinate production schedules with the production manager and department leads, communicating changes to project management and sales.
• Improve assembly procedures, work-area organization, inventory accuracy, safety, and product quality.

Requirements

• Experience leading, coaching, and developing a manufacturing team, preferably in industrial or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot assembly-related equipment and processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and Bills of Materials to identify and verify required parts and hardware.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, stoop, and bend for eight or more hours daily.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, and project persistence.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring participation in a drug and alcohol program and successful completion of a background check.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale metal components, electro-mechanical systems, workplace safety programs, or Lean Manufacturing.
• Licensed forklift operation experience.
• Experience with ERP software such as Infor Visual or Acumatica.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, 6S, MS Office, or Google Workspace.
