2nd Shift Production Alt Group Lead - Zone to be based off need (Manufacturing)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; onsite, second shift

Base pay: $22.81–$26.93 per hour

What you will do

• Support daily production by removing obstacles, containing line disruptions, and escalating issues.
• Drive continuous improvement through structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, countermeasures, waste reduction, 5S, and visual management.
• Audit operator standard work and maintain the Tier-1 Continuous Improvement Board for safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Direct daily work assignments and coordinate with peer leads on vacations, call-ins, and department needs.
• Lead team meetings, provide situational supervision, and coach operators on lean principles and the hirify.global Production System.
• Deliver operator instruction, cross-training, mentoring, and employee development while maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Technical skills in business, quality, and/or manufacturing, with a fundamental understanding of manufacturing or backshop processes.
• Ability to use timekeeping systems such as AS400 and Kronos, RF/bar-coding technology, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication, decision-making, planning, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, push or pull up to 100 lbs, use air/power/vibrating tools, and stand and walk for the assigned shift.
• Ability to work up to 12 hours per day and accept overtime with little or no notice.

Nice to have

• Experience with VWI (Visual Work Instructions).
• Experience responding to containment and quality-resolution events.
