Manufacturing Engineer (HVAC)

What you will do

• Develop and implement manufacturing best practices for HVAC coils, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly.
• Lead manufacturing projects from concept through production implementation, including equipment relocation and new product introductions.
• Optimize workstation and facility layouts, line balancing, process flows, material presentation, and lean logistics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, ergonomics, 5S, Kanban, value stream mapping, and one-piece flow.
• Develop routings, time studies, staffing models, production playbooks, standard work, work instructions, and training materials.
• Design weld and assembly fixtures in AutoCAD and support operations with root-cause analysis, tooling, capacity planning, and production problem resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least five years of successful lean transformation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience planning new program launches, coordinating capital equipment projects, creating process flows and work standards, and managing cost-reduction projects.
• Hands-on experience prototyping, fabricating metal parts, and testing.
• Ability to read and evaluate mechanical drawings, technical specifications, dimensional tolerances, and component interactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AutoCAD, with strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
