Manager, Workforce Planning - Forecasting (Predictive Analytics)

Location: Onsite at 1601 SE 10th St, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $80,000–$155,000 in Bentonville; $96,000–$186,000 in Bellevue, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead forecasting strategy for Walmart Marketplace Operations and maintain short-, mid-, and long-range demand forecasts.
• Improve forecast accuracy through statistical modeling, trend analysis, predictive analytics, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
• Design predictive models to identify demand trends, operational risks, and the impact of seller growth, campaigns, launches, policy changes, automation, and AI initiatives.
• Build executive dashboards, forecasting scorecards, and trend analyses, translating complex data into recommendations.
• Present forecast assumptions, risks, opportunities, performance, and business impacts to senior leadership.
• Partner with Operations, Workforce Management, Finance, Product, Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, and BPO partners to establish standards and automate forecasting workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Analytics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in workforce forecasting, demand planning, predictive analytics, business analytics, or data science supporting large-scale operations.
• Expertise in statistical forecasting, predictive modeling, and time-series analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL, with experience using Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, executive communication, and cross-functional stakeholder influence skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field.
• Python or R experience for predictive modeling and advanced analytics.
• Experience applying machine learning to forecasting and demand planning.
• Experience with NICE CXone or NICE IEX and retail, eCommerce, marketplace, or omnichannel operations.
• Project Management or Six Sigma certification.
