Technical Program Manager (ASIC/SoC)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; local to the Bay Area; on-site 3–4 days per week with occasional travel

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year in California

What you will do

• Create execution plans for ASIC/SoC development with engineering leaders, balancing power, performance, functionality, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Lead end-to-end ASIC/SoC programs from concept and pre-sales through design award, tape-out, production, qualification, and manufacturing ramp.
• Build and manage integrated schedules covering architecture, RTL, verification, DFT, physical design, packaging, post-silicon validation, and manufacturing.
• Coordinate deliverables across ASIC, architecture, hardware, software, firmware, PCB, packaging, test, reliability, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.
• Work with external IP providers, fabs, OSAT silicon services, and partners to deliver projects on schedule.
• Drive issue resolution during pre-silicon execution, tape-out, bring-up, debug, qualification, and yield learning.

Requirements

• BSEE or equivalent degree and 10 years of experience.
• 10+ years of direct semiconductor ASIC/foundry industry experience.
• 7+ years supporting ASIC customer technical issues and 7+ years in program or project management.
• Expertise in SoC design, IC manufacturing, fab processes, package technologies, I/O, IP, and testing.
• Experience with large-scale EDA infrastructure, CPU/GPU architectures, semiconductor design processes, and EDA tools and flows.
• Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and coordinate global product development across teams.
