Payroll Associate with Spanish

Location: Varna, Bulgaria. Full-time onsite role with a Monday–Friday shift from 16:00 to 00:30.

Salary: €14,400–€19,450 gross per year, with potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do

• Manage payroll operations for assigned LATAM countries and client portfolios.
• Process payroll accurately and on time while following local legislation, tax regulations, employment laws, and service-level agreements.
• Review payroll inputs, calculations, outputs, reconciliations, and variances to maintain data integrity.
• Investigate complex payroll issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support clients, internal stakeholders, payroll providers, audits, compliance activities, and operational escalations.
• Participate in implementations, transitions, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, accounting, human resources, languages, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in payroll, HR operations, finance operations, shared services, or a similar operational environment.
• Fluent Spanish language skills, written and verbal, are required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to payroll quality and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business productivity tools.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting multi-country payroll operations and knowledge of statutory payroll requirements.
• Experience with global clients or international teams.
• Portuguese language skills.
• Experience in process improvement, implementation, or operational excellence initiatives.
