International Tax Controller (Finance)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Salary: €22,000–€29,000 per year plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Own tax compliance and reporting for an assigned portfolio of legal entities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax reporting during financial close processes.
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns with external tax consultants.
• Manage recurring tax payments and track filing and payment deadlines.
• Prepare statistical and other tax-related reports and review supporting financial documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisers to resolve questions and keep deliverables on track.

Requirements

• Two to four years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, tax, or a related finance role.
• Foundation in accounting or finance and interest in developing international tax expertise.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines across jurisdictions.
• Attention to detail when working with financial data and tax documentation.
• Clear communication, proactive ownership, and effective collaboration skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn different jurisdictions, processes, and tax requirements.

• Experience with SAP.
