VAT Accountant (Automotive)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; onsite, full-time

Gross annual salary: €20,779.00–€28,571.40

What you will do

• Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns in line with local regulations and deadlines.
• Prepare and submit Intrastat reports and calculate VAT liabilities for correct accounting-system posting.
• Reconcile VAT accounts, investigate discrepancies, and review transactions for correct domestic, intra-community, and import/export VAT treatment.
• Maintain complete VAT documentation and audit trails.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external VAT audits and respond to tax-authority inquiries.
• Support Finance, Procurement, and Sales with VAT-related questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• High attention to detail, analytical ability, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate effectively with tax authorities.

• Experience handling VAT reporting.
