Construction Project Manager (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; work at Chicago project sites with travel as required.

Salary: $92,000–$134,000 annually, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Manage daily construction, administrative, and technical activities for renewable and energy-efficiency projects.
• Support project accounting, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and cost tracking.
• Coordinate with customers, engineering and development teams, vendors, subcontractors, and internal business operations.
• Review bids and support scope definition, cost estimation, procurement, installation planning, and project scheduling.
• Direct construction managers and site supervisors to maintain quality, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor critical-path activities, maintain project schedules, prepare two-week look-ahead schedules, and ensure compliance with safety standards and codes.

Requirements

• At least five years of construction project management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to review confidential US security information.
• Experience with OSHA safety standards, mechanical and electrical systems, engineering practices, and project management regulations and codes.
• Strong verbal, written, technical communication, presentation, organizational, and relationship-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project, plus a valid driver's license in good standing issued by the resident state.

Nice to have

• Engineering, technical, or industry-related education completed or in progress.
• Experience with direct digital energy controls, variable frequency drives, high-efficiency motors, chiller and boiler installations, lighting retrofits, renewable energy technologies, and warranty or service requirements.
