Test Engineer II (Semiconductor)

Location: Johor, Malaysia; onsite production role with 3 rotating shifts

What you will do

• Define test strategies and industrialize test bays from new product introduction through high-volume production.
• Develop, validate, and implement burn-in, functional, vacuum, motion, safety interlock, leak, and software test plans and procedures.
• Operate and optimize automated test equipment, fixtures, and test bays while leading troubleshooting, containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Analyze test data, yield, reliability signals, and process capability using SPC, Cp/Cpk, dashboards, and trend analysis.
• Manage test measurement equipment calibration, certification, traceability, maintenance, and out-of-tolerance handling.
• Implement ESD controls, train technicians, support audits, and lead lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing test engineering, preferably with an ATE focus.
• Strong proficiency in ATE test program development and troubleshooting, semiconductor manufacturing processes, reliability, and yield improvement.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, schematics, wiring diagrams, test fixture architecture, PFMEA, control plans, GR&R/MSA, and golden-unit correlation methods.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, MES systems, test management systems, and revision control tools.
• Proficiency in English communication and willingness to work 3 rotating shifts are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with JMP, Minitab, or Python for test data analysis.
• Experience with semiconductor ATE and capital equipment manufacturing environments.
