Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC): Leading mechanical HVAC design and quality assurance for industrial, manufacturing, life sciences, food and beverage, and other process-focused construction projects with an accent on construction documentation, system analysis, and multidisciplinary coordination. Focus on designing complex water, HVAC, plumbing, steam, compressed-air, and cooling systems, mentoring engineers, and resolving preliminary design challenges.

What you will do

  • Lead mechanical HVAC engineering design and analysis from conceptual and schematic design through feasibility studies and construction documentation.
  • Design water, chilled water, HVAC, wastewater, cooling tower, condenser, boiler, steam, hot water, compressed air, and plumbing systems.
  • Provide mechanical quality assurance and review shop drawings and submittals for scope compliance.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors, Procurement, and Preconstruction teams on value-focused designs.
  • Identify preliminary design challenges early in project development.
  • Lead and mentor junior Mechanical Engineers and Designers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college.
  • Professional Engineer license required, with the ability to attain licenses in multiple states.
  • At least 10 years of related HVAC design experience and knowledge of HVAC systems applications and implementation.
  • Knowledge of building mechanical codes, building-material thermal values, and accurate load calculations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Revit.
