What you will do

• Develop mechanical designs for mission-critical facilities, including data centers and advanced manufacturing plants.
• Perform load, pipe pressure-drop, duct pressure-drop, PUE, and WUE calculations and analyses.
• Prepare mechanical drawings, specifications, and other design deliverables.
• Coordinate integrated designs with civil, structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and controls disciplines.
• Support construction administration through RFI responses, submittal reviews, and field observations.
• Delegate tasks to junior engineers, provide technical guidance and mentorship, and support client meetings and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 3–7 years of Mechanical Engineering experience; mission-critical, data center, or high-tech manufacturing experience is preferred.
• EIT certification is required; a PE license or active pursuit of one is preferred.
• Proficiency with mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards, including ICC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and applicable local and regional regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and construction workflow knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience with CFD modeling software such as Ansys Fluent or Cadence Reality.
• Experience in a design-build or integrated project delivery environment.
• PE license or active pursuit of licensure.
