What you will do
- Lead the development of next-generation cloud security products with multiple engineering and architecture teams.
- Design and build high-performance APIs, libraries, and microservices processing over 100 million transactions and terabytes of data per day.
- Develop and operate highly available SaaS services in partnership with SRE and operations teams.
- Build and manage world-class global engineering teams, resolving dependencies and improving productivity.
- Establish engineering processes that support high software quality, uptime, collaboration, and clear expectations.
- Research technologies and participate in architecture reviews focused on performance and scalability.
Requirements
- 15+ years of hands-on development experience, including SaaS products and service-oriented deployments in public or private clouds.
- Significant experience managing global engineering teams and influencing technical decisions across teams.
- Strong Java and C++ programming skills, with expertise in object-oriented design, prototyping, development, testing, and profiling.
- Experience building scalable SaaS platforms with microservices or distributed-systems architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of JVM concepts, messaging middleware such as JMS, AMQP, Kafka, or NATS, caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached, and RDBMS or NoSQL systems.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, or a related field; strong analytical, debugging, data structures, and algorithms skills.
Nice to have
- Experience building security services from the ground up.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Graphite, Grafana, Prometheus, or HashiCorp technologies.
- Experience with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, continuous integration and deployment pipelines, Maven, Ant, or Gradle.
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS and Cassandra NoSQL databases.
