Translation Project Manager

Location: Glasgow, Scotland, UK; full-time office-based position

Salary: £29,000 gross per annum, reviewed after six months

What you will do

• Manage multiple translation projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and deadline monitoring.
• Act as the main contact for clients, freelance linguists, and internal teams.
• Prepare quotations, clarify requirements, and provide project progress updates.
• Select and assign translators, proofreaders, post-editors, transcribers, and typesetters.
• Oversee quality assurance, including proofreading English-language versions.
• Resolve project issues, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

• Highly organised, motivated, and attentive to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure without compromising quality.
• Availability for Monday-to-Friday office hours, 09:00–17:00, in Glasgow.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the translation or localisation industry.
• Additional language skills.
