Building Performance Analyst

Location: Remote in Oregon or Washington, United States; travel in the U.S. and Canada up to 25%.

Salary: $70,000–$121,500 annually, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Analyze construction drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, control sequences, and standard operating procedures to develop efficiency recommendations.
• Schedule and conduct client site visits to document, geolocate, and assess facility assets, equipment condition, access safety, and building automation system operation.
• Benchmark energy consumption with Energy Star Portfolio Manager and calculate energy use intensity according to ASHRAE 100.
• Collect and validate asset, maintenance, training, energy, capital planning, and project planning data for AssetPlanner™ and related software modules.
• Operate LiDAR, photogrammetry, drone, floorplan, and digital imagery tools to support facility data collection.
• Support quality assurance, project scheduling, status reporting, facility condition assessments, client presentations, training, and project delivery.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, or construction management.
• Certified Energy Manager certification or ability to obtain it within three months of hire.
• Fluency with Energy Star Portfolio Manager and energy benchmarking practices.
• Ability to identify facility assets and systems, interpret construction drawings, and write technical reports, including ASHRAE Level 1 and 2 audits.
• Technical data analysis, organization, attention to detail, collaboration, and ability to work independently.
• Experience with Grafana, Power BI, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, mobile and tablet technology, and the ability to learn new software quickly.

Nice to have

• Facility management, construction management, or engineering certificate or degree.
• Building Operator Certification or certified commissioning professional certification.
• Experience with AssetPlanner™, facilities management, building science, complex facility data, and software implementation.
• Interest in finance, building systems, and technology.
