Intelligent Controls & Automation Technician/Technicien en contrôle intelligent et en automatisation (Start Date in June or July 2026)

Location: Brantford, Ontario, Canada — onsite at the BRANTFORD MIX CENTER / Greater Toronto Fulfillment Centre. The role requires rotating 12-hour shifts, including possible early morning, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday work.

Starting pay: $39.32 per hour.

What you will do

• Manage equipment and systems standards and troubleshoot production-system issues.
• Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, defects, and chronic production losses.
• Act as a subject matter expert for operational standards and their deployment.
• Plan and lead technical training sessions for team members onsite and offsite.
• Drive loss-elimination, change-management, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to technical projects that improve overall plant performance.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a relevant technical field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, HMI systems, and process control.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and single-line drawings.
• Applied electrical and controls skills in an industrial environment, with strong troubleshooting and data-analysis abilities.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, wear required PPE, and perform physically demanding work around industrial equipment.

Nice to have

• Technical degree or certification in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience maintaining documented operational standards and accurate technical records.
