Maintenance Technician Specialist (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, robotics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and material-handling equipment.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control-system failures using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
• Repair, rebuild, and replace components while following safety and quality standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams on equipment modifications and process improvements.
• Document maintenance work, parts usage, and work orders in a CMMS; train and mentor junior technicians.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems up to 480V, including PLCs, VFDs, and motor controls.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision machinery.
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of sensors, actuators, and control devices, plus strong independent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime, and to perform physically demanding work in manufacturing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fanuc or Kuka robotic systems.
• Forklift and aerial-lift certification.
