Payroll Compliance Specialist

Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, United States; onsite role with extended periods of sitting at a computer workstation

Salary: $19–20 per hour, commensurate with experience

What you will do

• Collect and verify timekeeping information for applicable employees.
• Calculate compensation based on hours worked, leave, and overtime.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing payroll information.
• Update employee payroll records, including exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and transfers.
• Conduct payroll audits and respond to employee payroll inquiries.
• Communicate timekeeping anomalies to management while maintaining confidentiality of payroll information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Two or more years of payroll experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical ability, attention to detail, organization, and record keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to multitask, solve problems, prioritize workload, and occasionally work extended hours.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including sitting, walking, bending, twisting, and stretching.
