Intern - Year Round (Desktop Support)

Location: On-site at 141 Security Drive, Winchester, Virginia, United States

Salary: $18.50-$32.00 hourly

What you will do

• Support assigned IT group activities within established standards, policies, procedures, and change-control processes.
• Plan, install, and support workstations, mobile devices, printers, telephony systems, and audio/visual equipment.
• Assist users with hardware and software-related technical challenges.
• Apply knowledge from an academic program to day-to-day IT support duties.
• Provide customer service and complete related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Remain enrolled in college-level courses or a degree-seeking program throughout the internship.
• Experience with PCs and related software, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Research, analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive, cooperative attitude.
• Availability Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, for a minimum of 20-25 hours per week based on the school schedule.

Nice to have

• Pursuing a Computer Science or IT-related degree.
