Operational Excellence Manager

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan; any city with a hirify.global facility in the United States. Grand Rapids, Miami, and Saint Louis are preferred. Frequent travel to UFP facilities, including international travel, is required.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually, dependent on experience, plus an annual performance bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and logistics operations.
• Standardize best practices and develop global process KPIs.
• Benchmark operational performance across facilities and countries.
• Identify and implement Lean and Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Partner with site leaders and cross-functional teams to monitor improvement progress and align initiatives with business goals.
• Support new equipment implementation, automation projects, and facility expansions while delivering process improvement training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing controls, plant management, quality control, or operations management.
• Proven experience leading Lean and Six Sigma projects in manufacturing or logistics environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and training abilities.
• Ability and willingness to work in a multicultural, international setting and travel frequently to company facilities.
