Instructional Technologist (Nuclear Training)

Location: Monticello, Minnesota, United States; plant-based duties include outage support and participation in the site Emergency Response Organization.

Salary: $97,600–$138,600 per year

What you will do

• Evaluate instructors and accredited training programs using diverse assessment methods, providing real-time coaching and feedback.
• Lead comprehensive self-assessments, cognitive trending, performance analysis, and gap-resolution recommendations.
• Manage governance of Systematic Approach to Training processes and review analysis, design data, and training materials.
• Advise training managers and senior site leaders on accreditation renewals, including ASER authorship, accreditation team visits, and board preparation.
• Lead the fleet instructor training program, maintaining design documentation, training materials, resources, and instructor qualifications.
• Support plant refueling outages, continuing training, just-in-time operational training, and the site Emergency Response Organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in technical training or education.
• Five years of experience as a qualified instructor in a commercial nuclear accredited program is preferred.
• Advanced Technical Instructor qualification and fluency in Systematic Approach to Training or Training Systems Development principles.
• Experience with causal analysis, performance analysis, accreditation activities, and maintaining unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.
• English fluency is required for instruction, documentation, and coordination with accreditation organizations.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience in a training environment.
• Experience with at least one accreditation renewal cycle, ASER preparation, and accreditation boards.
• Formal education in adult learning theory and its application.
