TL;DR
Senior Training & Qualification Analyst (Administrative & TQP Support) (Nuclear Energy): Managing technical qualification programs and training analysis for secure nuclear operations with an accent on qualification standards, assessment methods, examination development, and regulatory compliance. Focus on developing training materials and exam banks, supporting DOE assessments, mentoring qualification candidates, and improving qualification workflows.

Location: Onsite at the NNSA Nevada Support Facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada, with potential work at the Nevada National Security Site in Mercury, Nevada. Limited pre-approved travel within the continental United States and annual or nonrecurring government training may apply.

What you will do

  • Manage and analyze Technical Qualification Program and related administrative office-support activities.
  • Apply systematic training methods across procurement, development, delivery, evaluation, and program administration.
  • Develop and maintain exam banks, qualification standards, qualification cards, continuing-training plans, training packages, self-study materials, and course materials.
  • Support DOE 426.2 and DOE-STD-1070-94 assessments, including policy, procedure, implementation-plan, meeting, and reporting support.
  • Design and evaluate qualification and training programs for Safety System Oversight, Facility Representative, and Senior Technical Safety Manager roles.
  • Mentor Facility Representatives and candidates through written examinations, oral boards, evaluated walkthroughs, and final qualification documentation while improving workflow automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in training, education, engineering, nuclear science, safety, organizational development, or a related discipline.
  • 7–10+ years of progressively responsible training and qualification experience.
  • Experience in DOE/NNSA or a comparable nuclear-facility environment.
  • Knowledge of systematic training, technical qualification governance, assessment methods, examination development, qualification standards, adult learning, and training needs or KSA analysis.
  • Experience with DOE 426.2, DOE-STD-1070-94, FTCP/TQP, SSO, FR, and/or STSM programs is strongly preferred.
  • DOE L clearance is required; DOE Q clearance may be required where applicable. Current Q clearance and Nevada/DOE availability are valuable.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, data analytics tools, and Visio.
  • Experience with workflow automation and process-improvement tools.
