Product Application Engineer (RF)

Location: Columbia, Maryland, USA; candidates must reside in the US and have valid US work authorization. The role includes travel of up to 20%, including occasional trips to the Munich headquarters.

Total compensation: $76,000–$92,000 per year, including base salary, variable pay where applicable, and benefits.

What you will do

• Understand customer application requirements and map them to Rohde & Schwarz solutions.
• Demonstrate product capabilities and perform remote product demonstrations.
• Recommend relevant white papers, application notes, and technical content.
• Refer qualified opportunities to sales according to company processes.
• Provide basic hardware and software test engineering support for customer challenges.
• Write technical instructions and document unexpected product behavior for product management and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position or relevant field.
• Knowledge of digital measurements using oscilloscopes and RF applications using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers, and power meters.
• Knowledge of wireless standards including LTE, WLAN, WCDMA, and Bluetooth.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, or LabVIEW, and the ability to read test automation code.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis in complex hardware and software systems, communicate clearly, and work in a fast-paced technical environment.
