EHS Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage the site EHS team, including hiring, performance management, and professional development.
• Lead safety reviews, task risk assessments, training programs, safety culture initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
• Maintain OSHA, environmental, corporate, and ISO 14001 compliance programs and reporting.
• Oversee waste handling, treatment processes, zero-to-landfill initiatives, contractor safety, PPE procurement, and site safety committees.
• Lead incident classification, root-cause investigations, corrective actions, safety metrics, case management, and OSHA recordkeeping.
• Coordinate occupational health assessments, medical examinations, emergency response drills, management-of-change activities, and EHS continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS or equivalent progressive experience.
• At least 6 years of management or supervisory experience and 10 years of experience in a food plant or related business.
• Experience developing safety culture and implementing site-wide safety programs, with knowledge of safe behaviors, machine safety, and OSHA requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and influencing skills.
• Ability to train personnel on OSHA and corporate safety requirements, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; the role is based onsite in Carrollton, Texas.

Nice to have

• Process Safety Management experience.
• Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with Taproot or similar root-cause analysis methodologies.
