What you will do
- Lead environmental, health, and safety programs for a site with multiple business units.
- Identify, evaluate, and control occupational and environmental hazards while maintaining OSHA and applicable federal and local compliance.
- Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, reporting systems, safety operating systems, and training programs.
- Manage worker compensation activities, including relationships with treating physicians and attorneys.
- Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions address root causes.
- Advise site management, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and lead corporate-wide EHS projects and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Environment, Health, and Safety or a related field, with 6β8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
- 5β8 years of EHS supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing teams of up to 7 direct or indirect reports.
- Availability to travel up to 15% and meet the qualifications of the companyβs Driver Management Program when travel or driving is required.
Nice to have
- Success leading, developing, or implementing a safety operating system.
- Knowledge of applicable state regulations.
- Certification in industrial hygiene, ergonomics, environmental engineering, or another specialized EHS field.
