Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Pullman, Washington, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $102,900–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze manufacturing data and use simulation tools to optimize processes, remove constraints, and increase factory throughput.
• Develop and implement manufacturing automation solutions with Automation Engineering.
• Partner with R&D to improve product designs for efficient manufacturing and future automation.
• Identify automation opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create practical tooling and fixtures that improve quality, productivity, and operator experience.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Leadership, communication, organizational, writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, assume responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to sit and stand for at least 8 hours, differentiate color, use computer keyboard devices, and perform reaching, bending, and twisting.

Nice to have

• Two years of experience with electronic manufacturing processes.
• Experience leading a small technical support team.
• Manufacturing tooling design, material flow modeling, process design, cabling, or reliability experience.
• Process modeling or simulation experience with tools similar to FlexSim or Simul8.
• 3D design and printing experience, or familiarity with Minitab, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Excel, Power BI, Jira, Confluence, or SolidWorks.
