Production Lead (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Train new and existing technicians on approved production procedures, work instructions, and department processes.
• Lead production-floor activities, answer technical questions, direct operators, balance line positions, and support daily workflow goals.
• Monitor and escalate quality issues, troubleshoot printers and other equipment, and create maintenance, IT, and material requests when needed.
• Track past-due orders and use shop planning reports to resolve barcode-label and final-inspection delays.
• Complete end-of-shift walkthroughs, verify products are processed and shipped, and ensure work areas and equipment meet 5S standards.
• Support one-piece flow, stop the line when necessary, resolve quality problems, and identify process improvements with production management and engineering.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• General production experience; competency in all procedures and tasks taught to other employees.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required.
• Ability to motivate and lead peers, provide and receive constructive feedback, make sound judgments, and remain professional in high-pressure situations.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, computer literacy, multitasking ability, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and shifts of up to 12 hours; must lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience with lean principles and high-volume manufacturing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
