Engineering Manager - InPost Pay (m/f/n) (Java)

Location: Kraków/Warszawa, Poland; flexible working model with remote options in Poland.

An e-commerce parcel delivery and enablement business operating a large network of automated parcel machines, pick-up and drop-off points, courier services, fulfilment solutions, and an integrated checkout product.

What you will do

• Mentor engineers, support professional growth, and build a collaborative, high-performance team.
• Own product planning and roadmap execution, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, coding standards, security practices, and engineering excellence.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align priorities and communication.
• Maintain code quality, reliability, scalability, and system performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience and 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• At least 2 years of project or delivery management experience.
• Very good English at B2+ level in speech and writing.
• Strong technical background in Java, system design, cloud infrastructure, and cloud migration, especially with GCP and AWS.
• Experience building teams, leading change, taking end-to-end product ownership, and applying modern engineering practices.
• Ability to use and critically evaluate AI tools and large language models responsibly in professional workflows.

Nice to have

• Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD.
• Exposure to security, compliance, or enterprise environments.
