Engineering Manager - Delivery & Team Leadership

Location: Košice, Slovakia; remote working is available only within Slovakia.

Salary: Base salary from €2,700 gross, depending on seniority and previous experience, plus variable pay and other financial benefits.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop engineering teams while building a strong team environment.
• Guide technical decisions, strengthen engineering standards, and oversee complex solutions.
• Improve delivery predictability by removing obstacles and balancing speed, quality, technical debt, and scalability.
• Strengthen engineering quality, reliability, security, and sustainable delivery practices.
• Align priorities across engineering, business, and stakeholder groups and support execution.
• Own team performance, delivery quality, predictability, and engineering improvement priorities with Technical Leads and Architects.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background and sufficient technical credibility with engineering teams.
• Real people leadership experience leading developers or engineers over an extended period.
• Experience coaching, developing, and growing team members, including feedback and performance support.
• Understanding of architecture and technical trade-offs, with the ability to challenge weak or over-engineered solutions.
• Experience working across engineering, business, and stakeholder groups with clear communication.
• Ability to balance technical, people, operational, and financial priorities and take responsibility for delivery and engineering quality.
