Security Manager

Location: Austin (Oakhill, Office), United States; onsite across four Austin-area facilities

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day security operations across four Austin-area locations, including manufacturing and laboratory sites.
• Manage, coach, and develop security personnel and contract security providers.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop site security plans, and implement measures protecting personnel, facilities, intellectual property, and critical assets.
• Oversee access control, video management, CCTV, intrusion detection, visitor management, and security reporting systems.
• Lead investigations, incident response, emergency drills, crisis management, and business continuity preparedness.
• Manage security budgets, vendors, projects, performance metrics, and reporting to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least six years of progressive experience in corporate security, industrial security, law enforcement, military service, or a related discipline.
• Leadership experience managing security personnel, contractors, or cross-functional teams.
• Experience conducting investigations, managing incidents, performing risk assessments, and operating physical security technologies.
• Strong project management, organizational, planning, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, plus the ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, logistics, critical infrastructure, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with intellectual property protection, insider threat risks, critical assets, budgets, forecasting, and capital projects.
• Experience with ISO 15408/Common Criteria, C-TPAT, CFATS, SOX, business continuity, emergency management, or crisis response programs.
• CPP, PSP, PCI, CFE, or PPS certification.
